Yellowstone Actress Barret Swatek Selling $65M Hawaii Estate at Auction: See Inside!

The eight-bedroom beachfront home includes a wine room, a gym, a yoga studio and numerous terraces overlooking the Pacific Ocean

Barret Swatek is saying goodbye to paradise!

The Yellowstone actress, 47, revealed that she is putting up her $65 million home located on the island of Maui in Hawaii up for auction, as she and her husband plan to move their family to Alabama to raise their daughter, according to the Wall Street Journal.

“We just feel like we’re too far from them and from Barret’s family, and I think the baby kind of changed the equation on that,” said Swatek’s husband Adam Weiss, who is also the co-founder of Scout Capital Management.

Their eight-bedroom beachfront home along Keawakapu Beach has approximately 21,700-square-foot of space, and includes a wine room, a gym, a yoga studio, an office and numerous terraces that offer breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, per WSJ.

The couple purchased the home in 2021 for $65 million and put in several more millions in order to renovate and furnish the home with art and furniture pieces. In particular, they updated the home’s kitchen to add a bar and converted a media room into a library, which features floor-to-ceiling shelves with books and even a ladder.

Most of the furnishings inside the home are also included in the sale price, per the WSJ.

As for the design of the property, it features “geometric motifs, vibrant colors and playful use of light and shadow” and even has “travertine and koa wood finishes,” Matt Beall of Hawaii Life, who shopped the property off-market, told WSJ.

He noted that the entrance to the home has a special feature: an interior courtyard with reflecting pools.

It’s one of Swatek’s favorite features of the home. The actress said, per WSJ, “Right now, I’m looking out at the reflecting pool, and the way the sun is positioned and hitting, I’m seeing this beautiful reflection. All day long, it changes.”

That’s not the only exterior feature. The home also has a 75 feet long swimming pool that overlooks the Pacific Ocean, and an indoor-outdoor living space where homeowners can soak in the sun from the beach chairs out on the terrace or sofas scattered throughout their living room and library.

The home will be going up for auction between April 10 and April 22, by Concierge Auctions. Bids, CEO Chad Roffers said, are expected to start between $17.5 million and $35 million.

Swatek told WSJ that she and her husband “feel good about the decision we’ve made at this point” when it comes to auctioning their home. They said they also have the option to cancel the auction if they are not satisfied with the initial bids, so they feel that they “have a good opportunity to make sure that we’re not selling it for a stupid price.”

As for what is next for Swatek and her family, she said they are planning to relocate to her parents’ horse farm outside Birmingham, Alabama, and plan to build a second home on the property.

“I’ve really cherished how I grew up,” said Swatek. “When I came back from school, my brothers and I would hop on a horse bareback and ride for the afternoon.”
